The B.s. Jane Doaglus, arrived at the ■wharf early on Wednesday morning from Wellington. Captain Fraser reports that he tiied to leave Wellington on Monday evening, as reported by us, but the strong •wind blowing prevented him. However, a fresh start was made on Tuesday morning, at 7 a.m., and the Douglas anchored ofl the tar at 5 p.m. ; entered the river at 10.30. p.m., on Tuesday evening, and anchored off lhakara's bend. At 5 o'clock on Wednesday morning the anchor was lifted, and the ■wharf reached shortly after. The Jane Douglas received very quick despatch, the •whole of her cargo being discharged, and the vessel loaded with 7,000 feet of timber, a quantity of skins, and a considerable number of sheep, by 2 p.m. on Wednesday, at which hour she left with a large number of passengers. The Jane Douglas leaves Wellington for Foiton this evening, at 7 o'clock. The schooner Cora has dropped down the river as far as lhakara's bend, but owing to the westerly wind prevailing, has been unable to got over the bar. The regular trading steamer Tui, Captain Wills, left Wellington at 7.30 p.m. on Wednesday evening, and arrived off the _.. Manawatu Bar, at 6.30 a.m. yesterday morning; entered the river at 11.15 a.m., and reached Foxtcn at noon. Capt Wills reports westerly weather throughout. The Tui leaves on the return trip this afternoon. Tho barque Craigie Lea, from London via Freemantle (W. Australia), into which port she put for repairs, arrived at Wellington on Wednesday ; also the French barque St. Louis, from Bordeaux via Port Chalmers, with a cargo of wine for Wellington. This is the first shipment of wine sent direct to Wellington from Bordeaux.
