IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by Act of the late Province of AVellington, intituled " The Highways Act, 1874," and by " The Abolition of Provinces Act, 1875,1, George Augustus Constantino, Marquis of Normanby, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint that, for each of the Wards mentioned in the first column of the Schedule hereto, the voters qualified to vote for the election of a Warden in such Ward shall meet at the time and place set opposite the name of such Ward in the second and third columns of the said Schedule respectively, for the purpose of electing a Warden for such Ward ; and I do hereby appoint the person whose name is stated in the fourth column oi the said Schedule to be the Presiding Officer at the meetings to be held at the respective times and places mentioned in the second and third columns of the said Schedule, opposites the names of the said person.
