« The Customs revenue collected at the port of Wolliugtoa for the wetk ending September 19, amounted to £4982 9s Id. The following are the latest Wellington quotations : — Butter is in improved demand, and worth from 1b to Is Id per Ib ; second quality 7d to 8d per lb. Bacon and haniH 8d to ~B J per lb. Cheese 7d to 7| for prime Canterbury. Flour, southern brands, £11 to £11 6s per ton ; hands being full. Adelaide flour is selling at £17. Oats are firm at 4s 9d to 5s per bushel ; maize Is 30d to Ss per bushel ; fowl wheat 4s 3d to 4 s 4d; barley 3s 6d to 3s 9d; bran, la 8d to Is 9d per bushel.
