[Herald Special— By Telegraph.] WANGANUI. I Monday, 7 p.m. Mr Woon has applied to the lion. Mr Sheehan, Native Minister, for authority to send a canoe with a Maori constable up the Wanganui River to arrest the supposed murderer of M'Lean. He is now believed to be en route for Taupo. The Waitotara track joins the Wanganui River about 70 miles up.
