The regular trader, Cora, Cat tain Russell, arrived at Foxton wharf on Saturday at midday. ,She reports having left Oamaru on Friday, 30th August, with the heavy gale from the southward •which played such havoc with tho shipping at Timara. The Cora, however, made Kapiti in 40 hours, reaching the shelter on Sunday, the day on which the vessels went ashore at Timaru. After lying at anchor under Kapiti for six days, owing to wefterly and northerly weather, Captain Russell hoisted sail and was off , Manawatu Bar on Monday, 9th instant, but owing to a strong southerly gale coming up waa driven for 48 hours, making Cape Farewell Light; a change of wind coming on, the Cora was again headed for her destination, arriving as above. The Cora comes produce laden, and is consigned to Messrs Thynne, Linton, & Co. She finished discharging yesterday evening, and will to-day begiu to take in her return cargo of timber.
