EXTREMELY SUCCESSFUL
BRITISH COMMANDO RAID ON NOR WAY.
P.A. Cable.
LONDON, Jan. 26.
British Commando forces made an extremely successful raid on Stordo Island, south of Bergen, on Saturday night, it is authoritatively stated. The island . contains sulphur and copper mines. These small raids are constantly being made, and conform to a general broad programme. Berlin radio claims that the Commandos were making for Larvik, near the entrance to Oslo fiord, and that coastal defences and motor patrol boats forced the attackers to turn back.
