ANKARA, Oct. 26.
After a series of bornb-throwings in Athens, the German military comrnander, failing to discover the throwers, ordered the. execution of 20 hostages. These were marched halfnaked through the streets with the firing squad before being shot. The Germans hoped that this would frighten the population, but the erowds cheered the hostages, shouting: "You are heroes l You will be avenged!"
