RETURN OF DARLAN

LONDON, Oct. 25.
. Algiers radio announced that Admiral Darlan, commander-in-chief of the Vichy French forces, has arrived at Casablanca (Moroceo) where he inspected a naval squadron. "Full military occupation of France is not impossible," Mme. Genevieve T'abouis, the French author and journalist, told the Service Club. She said her information was based on recent talks with M. Andre Philipp, the French Socialist Deputy who escaped from France and joined General de Gaulle. Mme. Tafcouis declared that 90 per cent. of the FYench population was de Gaullist. Resistance began on the day Laval made his speech wishing a German victory. Explaining how the resistance functions, Mme. Tabouis said that regular conferences were held between the Fighting French leaders in occupied France and General de Gaulle in London Planes were mysteriously ■picking u:p leaders in France and taking them to London, receiving instructions and then flying back. "Ek-Premier Herriot's query: 'Shall we allov/ liberty to die in the very country which gave it birth?' is receiving a French reply at the sacrifice of lives, saying 'Liberty shall survive in France! Our struggle for liberation shall illuminate conquered Furope with the light of victory'," Mme. Tabouis said.
