KAIKOURA "DEMO"
FIRE BRIGADESMEN COMPETE. BLENHEIM TEAM UNPLACED. The Blenheim Fire Brigade was unplaced in a demonstration by Marlborough and Nelson sub-Asso-ciation teams which was staged at Kaikoura on Saturday afternoon. The teams taking part comprised Blenheim, Motueka, Richmond, Tahunanui, a Nelson regular and auxiliary team, a Picton regular and auxiliary team, and Kaikoura, The aggregate shield was secured by the Nelson regular combination, and the Nelson E.P.S. gained the shield for the runners-up. The Bythell Shield, for -a one-man coupling, was won by a Kaikoura competitor. The Blenheim team comprised De-puty-Superintendent Busli, and Fire men Cantrell, Morrison, Workman and Hall, and Fireman R. V. Bythell accompanied the team as delegate to the conference, which was held in conjunction with the demonstration. The Blenheim team returned home yesterday afternoon. •
