RIO DE JANEIRO, Oct. 22.

President Castillo told the press that Argentine shipping would not operate under convoy. He said that the Argentine State merchant marine would preferentially be devoted to maintaining supplies for Argentina and Brazil, but because of the Argentine's international position, it was unnecessary that the Argentine fleet should operate under special protection.
