B.O.W.
RUGBY, Oct, 22.
The Joint Pariiamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Fuel Power, Mr Lloyd, announced in the House of Commons that the increasing needs of the armed forces made necessary a further general reduction in petrol allowances for business and professional purposes. The reduction would be for December, January and February. Mr Lloyd added that the fighting services had made and were continuing to make drastic economies in all petrol consumption other than was necessary for operations and essential for training.
