ARMED FORCES APPEALS
SITTING CONCLUDES TO-DAY. YESTERDAY'S DECISIONS. A further batch of appeals against service were dealt with by the Armed Forces Appeal Board yesterday.. The Boafd, which eomprises Messrs G. L. Page (chairman), L. Ward and J. Dicker, will complete its sitting this afternoon and will return to Nelson this evening. Appeals adjourned sine die were as follows : — Director of National Service for Leslie Elliot Saint and Stanley Frederick Marriott, light-house-keepers; Blenheim Fire Brigade and appellant for John Thomas Williams, motor trimmer and fire brigadesman; Mrs N. M. O'Donoghue for William Oornelius O'Donoghue, farmer; Edward Roy Large, gardener; Kenneth Lawrence Neal, farmer; Lewis William Walter Jellyman, farmer; Lionel Edward Excell, farmer; Mrs E. Roach for Peter Roach, farmer and launchman; E. W. McKenzie for Roy Ernest McKenzie, farmhand; Maurice Wilford Woolley, farmer; Primary Production Council for Robert Waine, shepherd; Director of National Service for Harry Withey Rutledge, farmer and contractor, and Athol Gordon Reader, farm manager; L. J. Murey for John Alexander Mclnnes, musterer; trustees in the estate of J. Jermyn for Harold Edwin Jermyn, farm manager; R. G. Adams, as attorney fbr I-I. M. W. Adams for Frederick Charles Inkersell, farm manager; A. J. Gifford for Clarence Gifford, farmhand; C. *G. C. Gee for Noel Campbeil Gee, farmhand; Cyril Douglas Cunningham, farmer; Noel Francis Casey, farmer; F. W. Bursill for John Lancelot Bailey, farm labourer; estate W. B. Stevenson for Leonard James Truman, musterer; Louis Twidle, farmer; James Maltby Twidle, farmer; Albert Francis Paynter, farmer. Appeals by E. F. Woodward for Darcy Clarence Mills, farmhand, and by the Director of National Service for Clifford Roy Wilfred Rush, farmhand, were dismissed, subject to the reservists not foeing called up before January 31. MTs R. G. Mclsaac's appeal for Darcy Ivan Mclsaac, farmer and rabbiter, was dismissed, subject to his not being called up before January 1.
