WELLINGTON, Oct. 22.
Ministerial replies to members' questions were circulated and discussed in the House of Representa-. tives yesterday afternoon. Local Bills remaining on the Order Paper wereput through all stages and passed without amendment. Consideration of the Fair Rents Amendment Bill was continued in the committee stage. The Bill was passed with amendments. A secret session will be held to-day to enable members to hear and discuss the latest developments in the war situation and the manpower obligations of the country will be discussed during the sitting. The House rose at 11.10 p.m. till 2.30 p.m. to-day. The session is expected to conclude late to-night.
