ARMED FORCES APPEALS
FURTHER BLENHEIM SITTING. YESTERDAY'S DECISIONS. Decisions reached by the Armed Forces Appeal Board, comprising Messrs G. L. Page (chairman), L. Ward and J. Dicker, which commenced a sitting at the Blenheim Courthouse yesterday, were as follows: — The following appeals were adjourned sine die: — E. C. Lawrence for Arthur William Eowler, farmhand; R. Pigou for Alan Bruce Thompson, farmhand; Director of National Service for Charles Thomas Heberley, farmhand; Marlborough Coast Rabbit Board for Charles Timothy Rogal, rabbiter; Austin William Morrison, sliare-milker; Maurice John North, farmer; Nolan Francis . Prouting, farmer; James Dalziel, farmer; Mrs K. E. Neal for Rangi Frederick Neal, f arm-manager ; the Public Trust as executor for J. Maher, deceased, and appellant, for John Maher, farm manager; Thomas Noble, farmer; John Watson Low, farmer; John Gilchrist, dairy farmer; Howard Charles Barton, farmer; E. A. Langridge for Kenneth Herbert Amos Langridge, farm hand; Hugh McCormick Campbell. farmer; M. Parsons for Richard Stanley Beauchamp, shepherd; A. Ham for AlbertAlexander Ham, farmer; Chaytor and Co., Ltd. for Rex Chandler, teamster; Director of National Service for Donald Harman Merry, civil servant.
Subject to the reservist not being called up before March 31, the Director of National Service 's appeal for Frank William Woolley, cheese factory assistant, was dismissed. Adjournments to March 31 were made in the following cases: — Alfred Robert Foote for Neil Alfred Foote, farm hand; I. N. Cameron for Norris Edward Webster, shepherd; Claud Spencer Godsiff, farmer; estate A. D. Rutherford for Allan Lincoln Rutherford, farmer. An appeal by Allan William Register, farmer and shearer, was dismissed, subject to the reservist not being called up before December 31. J. B. Beech's appeal for David Collinson Newbury, farm manager, was withdrawn.
