DECREASE IN FAULTY BRAKES. BLENHEIM GARAGE'S FIGURES. When the matter was referred by The Express this morning to a Blenheim garage the figures quoted qccasioned some surprise. This was certainly warranted by the result of research under taken amongst the records. This showed that instead of increasing since the petrol rationing became acute the number of iaulty brakes revealed by warrant-of -fitness overhauls had actually decreased. March was taken as a typical month. During this period in 1941 48 per cent. oi' the vehicles attended to were found to require brake adjustment. In March of this year, however, the percentage had dropped to 35. A slightly larger number of inspections v/ere also carried out by the firm this year than last. V
