ACTS OF SABOTAGE IN NORWAY

GRIM THREATS TO CZECHS. NAZI DEMANDS ON HOLLAND. P.A. Cable. ' LONDON, Oct. 18. General Hannecke, the new German military commander in Denmark, has forbidden German offlcers to have any social contact with the Danes. This regulation is being applied so drastically that it is even breaking up familie's in cases of mixed marriages. Many workers have been arrested after new acts of sabotage in several industrial centres in the neighbourhood of Oslo. Karl Hermann Frank, German Secretary of State, at the re naming of the Moldau district of Prague "Reichard Heydrich Embankmentv' said: "Ancient history and National Socialism alike recognise Bohemia. Moravia cannot exist without the Reich. Our task is to win back both the provinces mentally and spiritually for the Reich. The life and deeds of Heydrich should be an admonition for the Czechs to take heed and mend their ways. How the Czechs behave now will decide their fate. The blood guiltiness which burdens the Czechs is so vast that it can only be expiated when Heydrich 's political testament is executed. If we have dealt severely with the Czech educated classes it is because 90 per eent. of the enemies of the Reich belong to these classes." According to Vichy radio Frank also said that close relatives of the Czech agitators who took refuge in London have been rounded up and interned in concentration camps. "I warn Czechs against the new appeals to insurrection and sabotage now being launched from London," DEMAND FOR 70,000 DUTCH WORKERS. Dr Boening, the German Commissar for Manpower in Holland, has demanded 70,000 skilled Dutch workers for Germany to reinforce the 300,000 Dutfch already in Germany. Thirty thousand skilled Dutch metalworkers were removed from their jobs last month and sent to Germany. Skilled Dutchmen are conscripted by the German foremen who had been appointed to the Dutch undertakings as "trustees" for the workmen. The skilled workers are being replaced by unskilled part-time workers and unemployed, of which Boening estimates there are still 100 - 000. The New York Herald-Tribune's Washington correspondent says that every town in France has completed blacklists of persons who will be killed on the day of France's liberation, and 1,000,000 Frenchmen will be slaughtered unless preventive action is taken, according to M. Andre Phflip, the Commissioner of the Iriterior with the French National Committee. Be said he believed that civil war could be averted only if General de Gaulle makes a direct personal appeal to the French people to refrain from private vengeance when United Nations forces land in France.
