ALCOHOL FOR INDUSTRY.
PRODUCTION FROM WOOD-PULP WAGTE? P..A. Gable. CTTAWA, Oct. 15. Wood liquor, at present going out through waste pipes from paper mills, may be converted to alcohol by injecting yeast and certain salts, speeding fomentation, said a Munitions and iSupply Ministry spokesman to press representatives. He added that Canadian distilleries had been ordered to halt the production of beverage spirits and convert their entire output to war purposes.
