BRITISH-ISRAEL

"THINGS TO COME." The monthly meeting of the Blenheim branch of the British-Israel World Federation was held on Monday evening in the Malplaquet rooms. An address was given by Mr A. F. Bent on the subject, "Things to Come." The speaker opened by reading Christ's words to his disciples before the Cruciflxion: "I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot hear them now, Howbeit when He the Spirit of Truth is come, He will guide you into all truth: for He shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever shall He hear that shall He speak: and He will show you things to come." (John xvi, 12-13.) The Epistles of the New Testament, and the Book of Revela- | tion, the speaker proceeded, all showed how the Spirit of Truth showed the writers "things to come." Here were some of the things yet to come, and which might be happening sooner than we think. First, a world-wide outpouring of the Holy Spirit resulting in a great spiritual revival. The Campaign for Christian Order in New Zealand, and the

remarkable ecumenical movement among the Christian churches of the world might be leading to this. (Acts ii, 14-21). This spiritual movement would be a sign of the nearness of Christ's coming again. Second, the restoration of all things in this world, Paradise practically restored. .(Acts iii, 19-21.) Third, a day of reckoning for all men and nations when Christ returned. (Acts xvii, 30-31.) Fourth, world-wide relief from suffering when Christ returned with the saints in resurrection glory. (Romans viii, 18-23.) Fifth, a great national spiritual awakening in Anglo-Saxondom and all Israelitish peoples, including the Jews, to be followed by a world-wide awakening. (Romans xi, 15, 25, 26.) Sixth, the resurrection of Christians of the past and their translation with living Christians to heaven with Christ. (I Corinthians xv, 51-57, I Thessalonians iv, 13-18.) Seventh, the rise and reign of Anti-Christ and his assumption of deity in the rebuilt feemple in Jerusalem, bringing down the wrath of God, and culminating in the battle of Armaged-

uon in Palestme, _ and the Second Advent of Christ ' to the world with all His saints. (II Thessalonians ii, 1-12.) The Book of Revelation gave in fuller detail the events leading up to and at the Second Advent. The aforementioned blasphemy of the Anti-Christ is the "abomination of desolation," spoken of by Daniel the Prophet, and quoted by Christ ln speaking of the three and a-half years of the great tribulation which will precede His coming. The speaker then traversed the prophecies of the Book of Daniel, in relation to things yet to come. Chapter two, he said, gave a vision of the rise and fall of world empires from Babylon to the Second Advent, and the rise and growth of the Stone j Kingdom (Israel), as clearly seen in the British Empire and the United States of America. It was worthy of note that the Stone Kingdom had a Divine foundation in the middle ages, when the Roman Empire had divided into ten kingdoms. This synchronised with the arrival of William the Conqueror in Britain with the Normans (the tribe of Benjamin), the last of the ten tribes to arrive in Britain, "the appointed place" of II Samuel vii, 10. The seventh and ninth chapters of Daniel gave information about the reign of Anti-Christ. Chapter nine, 26 and 27, showed the destruction of Jerusalem and the Temple in A.D. 70, and also the seven years' cove-

nant yet to be made between the Anti-Christ and the Jews in Palestine, when after 3 h years had run he would break the covenant by his desecration of the temple in Jerusalem, bringing in the 3i years of the great tribulation. Chapters XI' and XII described the Armageddon campaign in Palestine, and the attacks of the King of the South (Britain) and the King of the North (possibly Russia and others) against the Anti-Christ with his ultimate defeat. It was at this stage that God's great intervention in human affairs would take place, in the Coming of Christ to establish His thousand years' reign of peace and righteousness. (Revelation xix and xx.) The study of Bible and Great Pyramid chronology revealed a remarkable order in the crises of Divine intervention throughout the ages of the history of mankind. The number seven was prominent

1 ' ■ ; — — — ■ ■■ — ; — ^ — throughout. The period of. one thousand years also come into it. Six thousand years of human history since the time of Adam had nearly elapsed, and the seventh millenium was drawing near. Each millenium had opened with the appearance of great servants of God, who had been associated with crises affecting the development of the Divine plan for world redemption. These persons in order were Adam, Noah, Abraham, David, Christ, William the Conqueror, and next would be Christ at His Coming. Both Bible and Great Pyramid study showed that the "things to come" aforementioned were near at hand. When speaking of His Second Coming, Christ said: "Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled," and then would follow events leading to His return. (Luke xxi, 20-28.) In the same connection He said: "This generation shall not pass until all these things shall be fulfilled." (Matthew xxiv, 34.) Clearly this could not apply to the genera tion then living; more likely it would apply to the generation living when Jerusalem ceased to be "trodden down of the Gentiles." This happened when the British entered Jerusalem in 1917.

Accordmg to Job xlii 16, a generation averaged 35 years. Thirty-five years from 1917 brought us to 1952, a year before the end of the period symbolised by the King's Chamber in the Great Pyramid. The remaining question therefore was, where does the present war come in with relation to these "things to come"? If this war were the last war it would probably end next March (3t years).

But that did not appear to be likely, according to the Bible and the Great Pyramid. What would be the purpose of the present war? Probably the following: First, spiritual revival in Great Britain and America, and we hoped the establishment of Christian Order within their borders, that we as Israel may be a people prepared for the return of Christ as our King. Second, the unity and consolidation of the Israelitish peoples, including the Jews. Third, the rise and consolidation of the kingdom of Anti-Christ preparatory to the last eonflict and the great Divine intervention for the salvation of Israel and the world. — V
