MILITARY WAR PRISONER

STATUS OF HESS DEFINED.

P.A. Gable.

LONDON, Oct. 16.

It is authoritatively stated in Lon ■ don that Hess is a military prisoner of war, not a prisoner of the State; The Russian newspaper Izvestia says to-day: "There is no reason to postpone until the end of the war the punishment of Hitlerite chieftains who have fallen or may fall into the hands of the United Nations. The world cannot and must not delay their punishment."
