At Buckingham Palace the King awarded Distinguished F 1 y i n g Medals to Flight Lieutenant J. P. Barrow, of Gisborne; Pilot Officer C. A. Armstrong, of Devonport; and Warrant Officer O. W. Thompson, of Waipiro Bay; and the Air Force Medal to Pilot Officer D. P. Phillips, of Wellington. Mr W. J Jordan. the High/Com-
I missioner, congratulated them at the New Zealand Forces Club. Armstrong and Thompson both fought at Malta. They are all instructors now.
