SECOND FRONT IN NORMANDY
DEDUCTION BY BERLIN.
P.A. Cable.
LONDON, Oct. 15.
The British High Command intends to give in to the Russian demand for a second front and make Normandy the scene of the attempt, says ihe Berlin official news agency. This, it says, can be deductedfrom increasedR.A.F. ■ activity, and from German observation of a great number of land-ing-boats massed in specially suitable harbours. The news agency lists as preparations for this landing large-scale commando raids, including that on Sark and the attempt near CherDourg on September 12; an attack made on the coastal port of the Sas~ quets Islands early in September, and an attempt toi approach the coast near Annonville on October 7, when coastal defences drove off the British boat, Further attempts were observed at other points on the coast of Normandy in the same period.
