BRAZILIAN NAVAL FORCES.

WASHINGTON, Oct. 14.
The Navy Secretary, Colonel Knox, revealed that Brazilian naval forces have been placed under the direction of the U.S. Area Commander, Admiral Jonas Ingram, who is expanding naval operations considerably in the area of submarine activity.
