Some departing members of the armed forces leaving Marlborough for fresh clouds and ceilings blue made a lorried exit down Maxwell road with. an untold wealth of broad paper streamers fluttering in the breeze. The display was regarded rather ruefully by householders who have been unable to secure anything like normal requirements of the type of paper that was being lavishly trailed in the breeze and the dust..
