MORE JAP. SHIPS LOST.
U.S. SUBMARINE IN WESTERN PACIFIC. The U.S. Navy Bepartment announces the results of further attacks by U.S. submarines in Eastern waters. These have not been previously published. The commimique states that in the Western Pacific U.S. submarines sank an enemy heavy cruiser, two cargo ships, a tanker, and a trawler. A small cargo ship was damaged and probably sunk, and two tankers were damaged. —
