QUARTERLY MEETING
BLENHEIM METHODIST CHURCH The quarterly meeting of the Blenheim Methodist Church was held last evening in the school -room, there be ing 30 member s present. The Rev. Harold Sharp presided. It was reported that several interesting letters had been received from men on active service in response to the letters that had been sent from the Circuit. The balance sheet presented was highly satisfactory, a small credit balance being shown. The Sunday schools throughout the Circuit celebrate their anniversary during the ensuing quarter and special collections were authorised for the respective schools at Blenheim, Tua Marina, Springlands, Picton and Rapaura. Mr Harry Penny presented the report from the Youth Council and this was considered highly satisfactory. The Revs. Messrs Sharp and Leadley were unanimously invited for a second year, and the Circuit stewards testified to the good spiritual work that was being carried on. The chairman spoke of the programme that had been considered by the Blenheim Ministers' Fraternal in connection with the -Campaign of Christian Faith and Order. Messrs S. Harris and F. H. Southgate and Mrs Hale were elected re~ presentatives to the Nelson District Synod, which is to be held in Blenheim on November 24. Messrs J. S. White, H. Penny and Mrs V. Smart were elected substitute representatives. Messrs H. Penny and S. Hyndman were appointed auditors of the trust accounts. A successful meeting was concluded with supper. V %
