Tne New Yoik Times savs that Professor Vincent Duvigneaud, of Cornell University Medical Ccllege announced the discovery cf the chemical architecture ' of biotin, Nature's most powerful vitamin, at a meeting of the New York scction of the American Chemical Society. The discovery is hailed as a grcat triumph of modern chemistry and certain to lead to many important new dcvelopments, It is regarded as a particular triumph for American chemists, since many of Europe's leading chemists have also been trying to solve one of Nature's greatest mysteries. The discovery is expected to pave the way for svnthesis of the super-vitamin, so difficult to ubtain in nure form that it seils at the rate of 4,000,000 dollars an ounce. making it the world's most precious substance
