An armchair, with canework seat and rounded back, mounted with brass bands, one of two chairs said to have been in Nelson 's stateroom on board the Victory, was sold at Christie's (London) recently in aid of funds for the Navy. It fell to a bid of £105, and the purchaser, Mr J. H. Jacobs, intends to present it to the Victory, where the companion chair already rests.
