Mrs G. Bary, of Renwick, now aged 96i years, who arrived in Blenheim on a bullock cart 84 years ago, left by air to-day on a visit to Hamilton. Mr J. Roche, formerly postmaster at Seddon and now postmaster at Takaka, who has been spending a holiday in Blenheim, left to-day on his return to Takaka. The death occurred at Wellington 011 Saturday of Mr Arthur John Wicks, father of Sergeant A. G. Wicks, of Blenheim. The late Mr Wicks, who was 71 years of age, had been in ill-health for some time.
