N.Z. MILITARY FORCES. APPOINTMENTS GAZETTED. The following appointmenits and prcmotions of officers of the New Zealand Military Forces are gazetted: STAFF. Captain (temp. Major) F. H. Sparx. Royai Artillery, is appomted Brigac.e Major of an anti-aircraft brigade and is granted the local rank of major. Captain (temp. Major) M. J. Moriis, Royal Artillery, is appointed General Scaff Officer, 2nd Grade, Army Headquarters, and is granted the local rank of major. Captain (temp. Major) W. P. McGrath, Royal Artillery, is appointed General Staff Officer, 2nd Grade, Army Headquarters, and is granted Ihe local rank of major. Captain itemp. Major) P. R. Atkinson,' E.D., is appointed to command a battalion, and is granted the rank of

Medical Corps: Major F. G. Barrowclough, M.B., Ch.B., 2nd N.Z.E.F., is posted fo'r duty with a field ambulance. 2nd. N.Z.E.F. Major (temp. Lieut.Colonel) C. N. Watson, M.C., Southern Infantry, is appointed to command an infantry training depot. Lieut.-Colonei J. N. Peart, Northern Infantry.' is appointed to command a battalion. Major (temp. Lieut.-Colonei) C. N. Watson, M.C., Southern Infantry, relinquishes command of an infantry training depot and is appointed to command an advanced base. Captain (temp. Major) J. H. Kempthorne, Southern Infantry, is appointed an instructor at a staff schooi. Captain (temp. Major) T. C. Campbell, M.C., N.Z. Infantry, to be major. Captain (temp. Major) I. A. Hart, Central Infantry, is appointed General Staff Officer, 2nd Grade, of a base camp, and is granted the rank of major.
