(Received June 26, 8.35 p.m.) CALCUTTA, June 26. Seven persons, including high municipal officers and several children, were injured at Foona last night, when a bomb intended for Gandhi fell among a crowd who had assembled to witness his arrival at the municipal buildings to receive a civic address. The bomb was flung from a balcony, w:hen a car presumed to be Gandhi's stopped. One wheel was blown off. The police surrounded the building and arrested five men. Gandhi arrived seven minutes later, but was not informed of the incident till he entered the hall. Gandhi left later for Ahmedabad. It is presumed that the erime is the work of orthodox Hindus, who are bitterly opposed to Gandhi's social campaign. © «
