POPE CHALLENGE SHIELD. WOMEN'S TRIAL MATCHES. The Pope Shield challenge match with Nelson will be played at Horton Park on Saturday, July 14, a week earlier than anticipated. It has been necessary, therefore, to arrange trial games to commence this coming Saturday and for the following weekend. The Marlborough Hockey Association's selectors in the women's division have chosen the following teams to play at Horton Park this Saturday in trial games: — A Team : O. Gibbons (K), B. Gibb (P) , W. Woolley (A) , N. Woolley (A) , M. Wareham (B), M. Voyce (P), A. Brown (K), F. Drake (A), M. Dawkins (P), B. Mills (B), Z. Heffer (B). B Team : Mrs Poidevin (B), N. Sutherland (K), M. Woolley (A), S. O'Sullivan (H), T. Simonsen (B) , B. Wareham (B), Mrs Smith (P), V. Workman CB), R. Drake (A), E. McCallum (K), E. Woolley (A). C Team: Mrs Hodson, R. Jellyman, D. Storey, Mrs M. Wareham, P. Dodson, D. Botham, E. Gane, B. Loe, M. Boyce, W. Glover, E. Thompson. D Team.-: Mrs E. O'Sullivan, A. Johnson, M. Jenkins, J. Brown, P. Gibbons, P. Dick, M. Catt, J. Dick, D. Roberts, W. Glover, H. Schwass. Any player unable to turn out should notify a selector as early as possible.
