(Received June 24, 6.30 p.m.) ADELAIDE, June 24. When flying near Parafield Aerodrome yesterday two aeroplanes collided at 200 feet and both pilots, Laurence Newman (27) and Blair Ccwan (19) were killed. When the machines touched one of the wings of Cowan's plane was ripped off and his machine nosedived. Newman attempted to make a, flat landing, but was too neiar the ground and his machine nose-dived to the earth. The planes: fell a quarter of a mile apart in :a rnass oif wreckage. Newman was crushed to death. He had been married only three weeks.
