OHMSTCHURCH, Oct, 1. At the Magistratc's Conrt Mr WicMowson to-day heard a libel cla.im for £200 by George Whitelaw, headmaster at Halswell, against Ernest H. G. Ri dcler, ex-secretary of the Halswell School Cbmmittee, as a result of pamphlets cii'ciilatecl by Ri elder alleging that tlie plaintiff was responsible for infamous conduet among scbool-children by negligence.
