AUCKLAND, Oe. 1. Two parties of the Royal Naval Reserve volunteers gained valuable pxpericnce aboard H.M.S. Dunedin •ancl Diomede during fhe ten clays' gun practice and naval operations in Hauraki Gulf. There wero 20 men on one ship and ten on the other. Thc weather was fine prae'tieally throughout. The, unexpected interruption when the Dunedin wos callecl away to search for the Awarua provided addifional experience for the volunteers. Commodore Swaboy expressed his praise at the manner in which the men earried out their duties,
