REDUCTION FOR MARRIED MEN.

(Received Sept. 30, 1.20 a.m.) HOBART, Sept. 29. The Assembly passed a Bill redi'.cing the land and income taxation for married men. The exemption for children is increased from £25 to £39, irrespective of the ii-come received by th© parent. The exemption for m.arried men is increased from £156 to £200. If the Legislat-ive C'ouncil passes the measnr© it is estimated that the relief to taxpayers will amount to £100,000.
