LATE PROTECTOR ' S EST \ TE. SITIT TO RECOVER LEGACY. CALCUTTA, Sept, 11. Prineess Mumtaz, the former dancing-girl at tlie court of th© Maharaiah of Indore, has brought an action in the Bombay Higli Court for the recovery of ~.nJ()0, being part of a legacy from the estate of Bawla, her suhsequent protector, who w'as murdered. Mrs Emery, superintendent_ of a nursing home, stated in evidence that Mumtaz, before undergoing an operation. saicl the mo-ney would! he receivecl from Bawla's estate, as it was a gift to her daugliter.
