Thousafids assbmbled in the streets leading to the depot to farewell the Goverhor-General and Laclv Byng, who entrained to-day for Quebeo to embark for England. Lord Byng's Jast official ac-t was to lay the altar cornerstpne in the Memorial Chamber of A'ictorv Tower in Parliament Buildings.
