MR LANG'S REPLY.
A COUNTER-ALLEOATION . SYDNEY, Sept. 29. Mr Lang, during his reply on Mr Bavin'st censuye motion in the' Assembly, referring to the bribeTy stories, said- "Sitting in this House on the Government side is an honorahle member who will tell the truth and would maka oath that he was approached by a person known as Y oltairc Molesworth, a former member of the Assemhly. and now managing! editor of tlie. newspaper Daily Guardian, which is bitterly opposed to th 3; Lahor Party. Mr Molesworth approached a. member of the Laibor Part.v and said : 'You can go to Katoomba, take your wife and family, and have a holidav as long as you like free of cost, and we will pay you £300 casli towards the cost of the election if you will vote to depose Mr Lang; from the leadefship of the party.' " Shortly after Mr Lang made this statement Mr Molesworth entered tliei Chamber ancl shouted out: "The Premier made a. statement here this afternoon. B.e is a cowarcl and a liar !" The Sdrgeant at Arms hurried toward'S the intruder, who turned and walked quickly out of the. Chamber. Mr Lang ignored the interruption and Mr Molesworth later issued a statement saying that there was neither substanc© nor truth in Mr Lang's cowardly allegations. He saicl: "If Mr Lang will do the one manly act in his life— that is, make the statement openly — then ' I will take the necessary steps to- prove the untrutlif alness of the allegations.''
