INVERCARGILL, Sept. 28. A sensational outrage occurred about midnight at Nightcaps when Mrs Georgc Tinker and lie-r daughter, in company with six young iiicir were returning from a party. They wero attacked hy a gang which outmimbered them by three to one. Serious i u.j uiies were inflieted on all the party, isome sustaining fractured limbs, indicating that heavy weapons were used. Several were brutally kicked, while others held them uown. Alrs Tinker is suffering from severe head injuries and ber condition is serious. 'Ihe outrage was careliH ly planned and several arrests are imminent.
