Allen (pianiste), and Mr Harison Cbqk (bassq) appear to be an attractiv'e musical combination, aijd their recital in His • Majesty's Theatre to-morrow night has so caught the popula - fancy that a. large audience seems assured. Among JMr Cook's numhers will he the "Serenade" from "Faust," in which he has sung the role of "Mephistopheles" hundreds of times as principal bass with the famous Carl Rosa Opera Company. He also has had tlre distinetion of apliearing; in the Royal Opera Covenf. Garden. The party will give a recital in Nelson to-night, Blenheim to-morrow night, and at Picton mi Thursday night. ♦
