An amusing complain( was made at a Wanganui Rota-ry Club's lunclieoii the other day, when a member stated that he had been cailed out to the golf liuks to: assist the Hawera team in its match with the Wanganui Rotarians, and on arriva-1 was informed that the Hawera team had been promised a couiple of "mugs" as suhstitut-es. — (a'ughter). Moreover, lie subsequently told his wife he had played in tlie match, but liL name did not appeai m print, and his wife had since regarded him with suspiciou. (Laughter)". He asked that tlie responsible officers be fined, and accordingly a levy of 2s e-ach was made on two Rotarians for their delinquencies.
