The Oonciliation Oouncil to-day referred a dispute hrought by the New Zenland F"derated fronmasters Association against tlie Wellington Metal-workers Assistants Union. and others to tlie Arbitration Court. It was stated that tlie dispute affected Taranaki, AYellington, Marlborough, Nelson. Canterbury , Westland,' Otago. and Southla.nd. The unions oppose a Dominion award and are ask ing for local awards.
