AGREEMENT OOME TO. THE APPEAL DISMTSSED.

WELLINGTON, Sept. 24. On resumption of the Odlin appeal oase Sir John Findlay announced that an agreement had been entered into between the company aii'd the Orow'ii, that th© company would pay any sum that would bring the tax up to a fair amount and also a penal tax, together with costs. In making this arrangement the oom]iany, notwithstanding the conviction in the Magistrate's Court, maintained that neither the company nor Mr Odlin were guilty of frauld. He wished to withdraw the appeal. The Judge said that the only thing he could do was to dismiss the appeal and he dismissed it with £25 costs.
