The British ape better fed and more iliberally suppiitsd and equipped than ever before, "ffhe importation of war materials h#x> France was eleven tons an hour. It had risen to twenty-four tons in the last week^ot September. -Railway and canal facilities -for ttransportin-g -supplies have enormously improved."
