ALLIED FORCES' BEEF DEMANDS.
GREATLY INCREASES THE
PRICES

The Food Commission's report states that the Allied forces' beef demands exceeded the total British importations in 1913, greatly increasing the prices. It recommends increased insulated tonnage* and rapid liandJing at .the ports in' order to increase tho importations, particularly of Australian meat for civilians.
