. GENEVA, Jan. 30. The Tribune de Geneva learns from Cairo that Djemal Pasha, .who is independent of German influence, has refused to undertake the expedition against Egypt unless 25,000 Germans, fuly equipped, are placed under his command. He said:—

-'1 want tho Germans to experience the same sufferings as the Turks have endured."

A large number of the Arabs in Syria who are against the Young Turk rule have been sent to other fronts.
