TRACING UNMARRIED-. , SLACKERS. * (Received April 5, o.lo' p.m.) LONDON, April i. Delegates to tho Attested Married Men's Union which was recently formed, representing 750.000, intei-* viewed Lord Derby and represented : tjha't the attestations of married men ought- to be cancelled in view of the number of single men not serving. The only remedy was general compulsion. A remarkable disclosure was made that there were 100,000 marriages between the date of the national registration on August 15th and the extended date, of, November 2nd, after which men marrying were regarded as unmarried for grouping purposes. Lord Derby approved of the union'si help in tracing unmarried slackers, and agreed that compulsion was essential in the national interests. V .'■;-.
The union passed a resolution' demanding Lord Derby's resignation in the event of the Government failing to legislate. '■««-..,. The King gave- an -audience to Lord Derby. .
