I PICTON ROAD BOARD. . SPECIAL ORDER AUTHORISING LOAN OF £2100. / ~ NOTICE, is hereby given that at a Special" Meeting of the Picton Road Board, held on the 30th day of May, 1914, the following resolution was passed:— • In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies Loans. Act> 1908, and its amendments, and the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, and its amendments, and in particular by Section 15 of sthe Local Bodies Loans Aot, 1908, and by Section 119 of the Public Works Act, 1908, and by virtue of a warrant .dated i^xe 18th May, '1914, issued under the hand of his Excellency the Governor under the provisions of the said; Section 119 of ■ the Public Works Act, 1908, and of i every other, power (if any) it therel i unto enabling the Picton. Road Board ■ j hereby resolves by way of Special > Order as follows:— ' 1. THAT the Board prpeeed to raise a • loan of, two thousand one hundred pounds for. the purpose of meeting the" Picton Road Board's ! share of the cost of building a bridge over the Opawa River at theu end of Grove Road, Bleni heim, and making approaches > i thereto. ; 5 2. THAT the said loan be called "The i Picton Road Board Opawa Bridge ; Contribution Loan of £2100, 1914." >; 3. THAT the currency of the said s loan shall be for a period of ■ | thirty-six1 and a-half years, commencing on the first day of April, ■ i 1914, and maturing, on the first i J day of October, 1950. » 4. THAT the interest on the said loan shall Jbe at the rate of £5 per J centum per annum, and be pay- | able half-yearly on the first days ] of October and April. : 5. THAT the" form of security for the payment of principal and interest on the said loan shall be three debentures of seven hundred pounds (£700) each and relative coupons in & form in conformity with the provisions of the Local Bodies Loans Act, 1908, and its amendments. 6. V THAT the Board doth hereby appropriate and pledge as security for, the payment of the said loan and ! the interest, sinking fund, and other charges thereon the annually recurring special rate of one-ninth of a penny in the pound on the ratable .value of all rateable property in the Picton Road District) payable yearly on the first day of October in each ! year. j '7. THAT the principal and interest shall"l.be payable at the Bank of : t New Zealand, Wellington. , 8. THAT the cost of raising the loan S and. the first year's interest be!
