DECLARATION OF UNION.

WELLINGTON, Feb. 6. The union of the Methodist Church of New Zealand and the Primitive Methodist connexion will be completed this evening at a public meeting in the Town Hall, his Excellency the Governor presiding. At the Methodist Conference to-day the formal resolution was adopted and the Declaration of Union approved, and the president, secretary, the Revs Ready (ex-president) and Gittos (representing the native race), and Mr Fk-sher were appointed to sign and. execute the declaration deed, which will be witnessed by the Governor. The conference further vested in> the United conference the powers hitherto exercised by itself. The making of the alteration and amendments to the laws to bring them into agreement with the basis of union was also authorised. .
