PICTON HOSPITAL BOARD.
The monthly meeting of tha'Picton Hospital Board was held yestorefcay afternoon. Thero were present:* Messrs G. J. RiddeU, N. Bragga, G. Peek, M. .GreeiisM, M. Tavlor, D. McCormiek, and G. Beech. " In ;the absence of Mr S. Fell, Mr Hiddell occupied the chair.
Leave of absence was granted to Mr J. C Chaytcr, who was miablo to be present through illness.
The resignation of Nurse "Brown was received and accepted "with
regret,
Authority was received i'rom theMinister for Public Health for certain alterations in connection with, the maternity horoe.
Mr Bragge moved, in accordance with notice, that the charge fov infants be Is 6d per day. On. ±he> motion being put, if was lost by four votes to three.
The following tenders for alfceß*tions and additions to the maternity home were received :—G. A. SmiiS* and Co., £320 (accepted); T. Allpoft, £355; Bu>h andi Sons, £35-5 8s 3d; R.1 Storey, £387 15s. P ,; On the motion of Mv Peek, seconded by Mr Jliddell, it was resolved that the maternity homo ..bo open to receive patients oai April |2. Accounts were passed for payment,, and the meeting .■terminated.
